The Albania Infrastructure and Tourism-Enabling Project “the Project” is financed by the European Union through technical assistance and investments grants for a total amount of EUR 40 million, and by complementary sovereign loan facility provided by the EBRD to the Government of Albania. The Project is implemented by the Albanian Development Fund as executing agency (the “Client”) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the “Bank”). The EU grants are identified by the EU in close cooperation with the Albanian Development Fund. |

Geographical positioning of the project area, the City of Berat is located in the southern part of Albania. The project area is located in a mountainous terrain in the southern part of Albania, more precisely west of Mount Tomori. Mount Tomori has a length of 16 km from north to south and a width varying from 3 to 10 km from east to west. It is located between Sotire in the north, the Berat plateau in the west, the Tomorrica river in the east and the Osum river and the town of Çorovoda in the south. This Project consists of: 1. The reconstruction and new construction of the road axis from the intersection of the Berat-Polican road in the village of Vodice to the village of Dardhë, with a length of 15.2 km. 2.
